The venue has a pick-up and drop-off area. If you use Lalamove or taxis or other pick-up services, you can get off at the Wan Chai Temporary Promenade on Hung Hing Road.

Before landing on the ‘moon’, owners and pets can head on to the marketplace and do some souvenir shopping. The market stall owners have prepared a variety of souvenirs for you, seize the opportunity and shop for any goodies that you like!

Space Shuttle
Hong Kong’s first ever pet-friendly space shuttle photo zone! Pet owners are encouraged to come ‘check in’ with their pets here; upon completing the space shuttle journey, you will arrive at ‘Pawstar’! In addition, the shuttles will have a large TV screen showing all the photos submitted during the earlier Petzilla event. The ‘Pawstar’ journey continues, be sure not to miss it!

‘Pawstar Avenue’
Located on the Wan Chai Promenade, the ‘Pawstar Avenue’ is the best location for viewing the moon, comparable to the Avenue of Stars on the opposite side of the Harbour! Along the way, not only can you admire the beautiful night view of Victoria Harbour, but you can also check out the many cute paw prints of furkids up close! Owners can submit photos of their pet’s paw prints before 10th September- the photos will be displayed on ‘Pawstar Avenue’ for all to see!

After nightfall, the Waterfront has a charming view of the shining lights of Victoria Harbour. Accompanied by the Mid-Autumn full moon, it is the perfect check-in spot for owners and pets alike to take photos and capture beautiful memories at.
Super ‘Pawstar’
Two giant moons with a diameter of 2.5m have landed on the Wanchai Promenade for the first time! Riding on the 100th anniversary of the SPCA, Pawstar uses the number ‘1’ together with two giant moons to compose of the auspicious ‘100’. The silhouettes of cattos and doggos will also greet you on the moon and accompany you as you spend a night of human-pet harmony.  The moon will also light up at night, reflecting the stunning night view of Victoria Harbour and giving everyone a perfect ‘check-in’ opportunity!

Space Pass [limited time only!]
Designed for the SPCA’s 100th anniversary, a space pass for pets that’s for a limited time only! Upload a photo of your pet on the spot, and you’ll instantly receive a pet pass with your pet’s photo on it. This is limited to the two-day event only and quota is limited on a first-come-first-served basis!

‘Race to Pawstar’ (Human-Pet Sprint) ［Free registration!］
The human-pet sprint, ‘Race to Pawstar’, will be held on 18th and 19th September from 7pm-9pm. Participants sprint from the starting point for 10 metres to the giant moon- the winner will receive a mystery gift. What a fun activity for owners and their pets, let’s race to the moon!

Want to share the historical moment of when your furbaby has landed on ‘Pawstar’? In addition to checking in at the actual ‘Pawstar’ with your beloved pet, you can also head on to the ‘Pet 3D Scan Photobooth’ and use HK’s fastest 3D scanner Ubivox 3D Studio to complete a one-second, 360-degree surround shoot and create a 3D image of your pet. It will also instantly appear on the owner’s phone screen. Owners can also use their phone’s camera function to project their pet’s VR image onto their actual surroundings, whether it be on the ‘Pawstar’, on the Harbour or next to the moon. Owners are encouraged to take lots of adorable unique pictures of their pets and show them off to family and friends!

Admission is free for this event, allowing you and your canine friend to stroll along the waterfront whilst admiring the moon, ‘checking in’, shopping and having a whale of a time. Many activities along the promenade are space-themed; eventgoers are encouraged to meander along to the giant ‘Pawstar’ at the end of the seashore and complete this ‘Journey to the Moon’ right before Mid-Autumn Festival!

The SPCA is celebrating its 100th anniversary and has joined our title sponsor, ProVet, in hosting Hong Kong’s first human-pet moon appreciation carnival. On the two consecutive nights of the weekend before Mid-Autumn, we will present to you ‘Pawstar Harbour Night’ at the new pet-friendly hotspot, the Wanchai Promenade. We sincerely invite all dog owners together with their furry friends big and small to take a trip to the moon under the most dazzling Victoria Harbour scenery and under the theme of ‘Pawstar Landing’. Let’s experience a night of human-pet bonding and fun!

This event is sponsored by the Chinese medicine brand ProVet, a pet series developed by Chinese veterinarians under the brand name Wai Yuen Tong. The donation proceeds will be used to build the largest comprehensive pet-friendly facility in the New Territories.
